FASCIAS & SOFFITS

As we all know, wood is a porous material. Once water has breached the outer layer, it is a matter of when, and not if it will need replacing. Water ingress paves the way for woodworm and many other vermin to set up home ultimately causing structural damage. If regular on-going maintenance, painting and short life cycles are not for you then choose a Fascia and Soffit solution from RCG. Fascias and Soffits installed by RCG will not rot, will not need painting, do not discolour, and will remain almost maintenance free for up to 40 years. 50 years with a marine grade aluminium.

We now hold more stock, in more colours than ever before. Supporting our ever-increasing client base with what is needed to get the job done, we also use our own access equipment allowing us to mobilise in a timely fashion.

Fascias are installed to give support to the eaves (bottom row of tiles), provide a fixing point for the gutter, and to help protect the timber rafters from the weather. Soffits are the boards you see most of from street level and bridge the gap between the outside of your home and the roofline. Circulating air in your roof reduces the build-up of condensation, which causes damp, mould, and rotten timbers. RCG External Building Solutions has developed a suite of soffit & ventilation solutions to suit all your needs. Choose between our range of breather membranes, circular vents, vented soffit boards, or choose plain soffits with over fascia vents. Available in a range of colours, and woodgrain effect finishes for those perfect final touches.

In 2016 our sister company, The Fascia Place began fabricating UPVC doors and windows, using state of the art machinery, and the most modern profile system available on today’s market. These steps have delivered significant improvements on lead times for window supply and placing more control back in to the hands of us, and our valued customers.

CLADDING

Cladding is often regarded as one of the most cost effective, and efficient ways to completely transform, renovate and modernise a house or building. Cladding, or re-cladding your home or business premises can provide an ideal opportunity to add a layer of insulation and protect you from the elements. Traditionally, cladding was made of timber planking, metal and even asbestos sheeting, thankfully, huge improvements have been made in the materials used for cladding products and RCG champion the installation of UPVC and Fibre Cement systems.

Choosing from a wide range of products and assisting you to achieve that exceptional kerb appeal our cladding systems are available in woodgrain effect, embossed grained boards, smooth aluminium style finishes, and all supported with finishing products and trims designed to provide long-life and prevent water ingress.

Accredited and experienced in working with coloured cladding systems our installations are installed in exact accordance with manufacturer specifications and are installed and designed not to bow, warp or discolour.

ASBESTOS

Should asbestos be present, or even suspected, delaying or adding cost to your building refurbishment project please speak to us at RCG regarding encapsulation, or our removal and disposal services. Any buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000 may contain asbestos and as such we are experienced and accredited to provide our customers with good information and low-cost, long term solutions.

Breathing in air containing asbestos fibres can lead to asbestos-related diseases, mainly cancers of the lungs and chest lining. Asbestos is only a risk to health if asbestos fibres are released into the air and breathed in. Workers who carry out building maintenance and repair are particularly at risk. Only by preventing or minimising these exposures now can asbestos-related disease eventually be reduced. Using our experienced team, and broad access to testing facilities we can confirm the presence of asbestos and agree a suitable method of making the fibres safe. Whether through on-site encapsulation or the removal and disposal of hazardous waste under licence.
